Sometimes a minority people is not always at the bottom of the social structure.

In the mid-seventeenth century, Manchurian tribesmen invaded China, overthrew a corrupt Ming state, and established the Qing dynasty with a Manchu ruling class.

It lasted till early in the 20th century.
